UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2022 Declared. Here's Where And How To Check
The UPSC Civil Service Prelims exam was conducted on June 5 across various centres this year.
New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services Prelims exam 2022 on Wednesday. The result has been announced in record 17 days. Candidates who appeared in the examination will be able to check their results on the official website – upsc.gov.in. Candidates who qualified in the preliminary exam will now be eligible for the mains that are scheduled to held from September 16.

As per reports, over 13,000 candidates have qualified the civil services preliminary examination this year. Nearly 11.52 lakh people have applied for the examination and as many as 13,090 candidates have qualified it, an official said. Initially, a total of 861 vacancies were sought to be filled through the civil services examination, which have now been increased to 1,022, the official added.
Candidates who qualify in the prelims exam will now be able to sit for the mains exam. They will have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2022.
As per official notification, the dates and important instructions for filling up of the DAF-I and the submission will be announced in due course on the website of the UPSC.
The marks, cut off marks and answer keys of civil services prelims exam 2022 will be uploaded on the UPSC website only after the declaration of final result of UPSC.
It is to be noted that the UPSC Civil Services Exam is conducted in two successive stages - Preliminary (objective type) for the selection of candidates for the main examination and Civil Services (Main) Examination (written and interview) for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts.
Notably, UPSC had recently announced the final result of UPSC Civil Services 2021 exam where Delhi’s Shruti Sharma had secured AIR 1, followed by Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla.
