Background

TN HSC Result 2023 Live Updates: The Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu (TN DGE) has announced the plus two or HSC or Class 12 results today. Tamil Nadu’s Minister of School Education has announced the class 12 results at the Anna Centenary Library. Students can check their results from the official website of Board at tnresults.nic.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, dge2.tn.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in. Candidates are required to use their roll number and date of birth to access their results online. Additionally, the results will also be sent to the registered mobile numbers of the students.

The DGE Tamil Nadu conducted the Tamil Nadu 12th Board Exams from March 13 to April 3, 2023. For this year's HSC exam, the number of registered candidates was 8.51 lakh. Out of these, 5.36 lakh students belonged to the Science stream, while more than 2.54 lakh students were from the Commerce stream. The Arts stream had around 14,000 students.

To pass in each subject, all students are required to score a minimum of 35 marks. In subjects with a total of 70 marks, the minimum requirement for theory is 15 marks, and the total marks obtained must be at least 35. However, there is no minimum marks requirement for the practical or internal section.

TN Board +2 12th Result 2023: Here’s How To Check Result

Once the DGE Tamil Nadu announces the Tamil Nadu 12th Results 2023, students who appeared for the exam will be able to check their results by following the below-given steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website — tnresults.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the result link given on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter your credentials such as roll number and date of birth and submit it.

Step 4: Check and download the results for future reference.

In the TN 12th exams of the previous year, a total of 8,06,277 students appeared. The overall pass percentage for Class 12th students was 93.76 percent. The pass percentage for female students was 96.32 percent, while for male students, it was 90.96 percent.

Chemistry: 3,909 students

Biology: 1,494 students

Physics: 812 students

Botany: 340 students

Zoology: 154 students

Accountancy: 6,573 students

Commerce: 5,678 students

Computer Science: 4,618 students

Tamil: 2 students

English: 15 students

TN Class 10, 12 Results Dates Announced

The Tamil Nadu Education Minister announced that the Class 11 result is expected on May 17, while the Class 10 results are scheduled to be released on May 19. However, the ministry is considering releasing both results on the same day, which is May 19. The final decision on this matter will be communicated by the officials in due course.

This year, 326 schools in Tamil Nadu have achieved a 100% pass percentage in the HSE Result 2023. This marks a remarkable improvement from the previous year.

TN 12th Result 2023: School-Wise Stats

When it comes to the type of school, government schools have a pass percentage of 89.90 percent, government-aided schools have a pass percentage of 95.99 percent, and private schools have a pass percentage of 99.09 percent. Co-educational schools have a pass percentage of 94.39 percent.
