Background

CGBSE Result 2023 LIVE Updates: Chhattisgarh Board CGBSE 10th and 12th Results have been announced today. Candidates can check the CGBSE results on the official website at cgbse.nic.in and results.cg.nic.in. The board recorded an overall pass percentage of 75.05 percent for class 10 and 79.96 percent for class 12. The performance of girls surpassed that of boys in both Class 10 and Class 12 exams. In Class 10, 79.16 percent of girls passed the exams, while 75.26 percent of boys passed. Similarly, in Class 12, 83.64 percent of girls passed, while boys secured a pass percentage of 75.86 percent.

Rahul Yadav was the topper in the high school exams, while Vidhi Bhonsle secured the top position in the Class 12 exams. Out of the top 5 students scoring the highest marks this year, four students are from Jashpur district.

Around 8 lakh candidates appear for the Chhattisgarh board examination for Class 10, 12 every year. The Class 10 board exams for the current year were conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board from March 2 to March 24. On the other hand, the Class 12 or Higher Secondary exams were held from March 1 to March 31. The exams were conducted between 9 am and 12:15 pm.

In order to pass the Class 10th and 12th exams for the current year, students must score a minimum of 33% marks in each subject as well as in the aggregate.

Last year, the Chhattisgarh board had released the Class 10 and 12 results on May 14. The overall pass percentage for Class 10th was 74.23 percent, while it was 79.03 percent for Class 12th. The total number of students registered for the Class 10 exams was 3,37,569, out of which 3,30,681 students appeared in the final examinations. For Class 12 exams, 3,38,121 students registered, and 3,23,625 students appeared in the board examinations. 

In 2021, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 exams in Chhattisgarh was 100 percent. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the students' performance during online classes was considered for grading, and they were given assignments to complete, which were graded accordingly. Out of the 4.61 lakh students who had registered for the exams, 2.24 lakh were male candidates, and 2.36 lakh were female candidates.
