NEST 2024: Registrations Begin Tomorrow On nestexam.in

As per the official schedule, the NEST 2024 Exam is scheduled to be held on June 30, 2024.

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), will start accepting applications for the NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) 2024 from tomorrow, March 20, 2024 onwards. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to appear for the exam will be able to submit their registration cum application forms for the NEST 2024 Exam on the official website - nextexam.in, from tomorrow onwards. 

Candidates may note that the last date to register and apply for the NEST 2024 Exam is May 31, 2024. Following the closure of the application process, candidates will also be able to make changes to their online applications through the application correction window. The timeline for NEST 2024 Application Correction Window is likely to be notified soon on the official website. 

As per the official schedule, the NEST 2024 Exam is slated to be held on June 30, 2024, while the NEST 2024 Results are scheduled to be released on July 30, 2024. The NEST exam paper ideally consists of questions distributed across four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology where each of these sections carry 50 marks. The final merit list of shortlisted candidates is prepared by considering the best score of each candidate in the top three sections attempted.

The NEST Exam is a national-level entrance exam for admissions into 5-year Integrated M.Sc programmes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics at the National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar, and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM–DAE CEBS), Mumbai.

Candidates shortlisted through the NEST Exam for admissions into the integrated M.Sc programmes in the aforementioned streams are also entitled to an annual scholarship of Rs 60,000, under the DISHA program of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. An additional grant of Rs 20,000 is also awarded to these students per annum for summer internships.
