Maharashtra HSC Paper Leak: After Mathematics, Police Probe Finds Physics And Chemistry Papers Were Also Leaked
Further investigating the WhatsApp chats of some students and those arrested in the matter, Mumbai Crime Branch has discovered that the Physics and Chemistry papers were leaked as well.
During the investigation of the Maharashtra HSC Mathematics Paper Leak 2023, Mumbai Police have discovered that the question papers of Physics and Chemistry were leaked as well. The investigation also brought into light that the leaked question papers were shared through WhatsApp. The Mumbai Police have also arrested staff of Matoshree Bhagubai Bhambare Agriculture and Science Jr College, and seized their mobile phones.
Probing the matter, the Mumbai Crime Branch investigated the WhatsApp chats of some students, Principal, and teachers of Matoshree Bhagubai Bhambare Agriculture and Science Jr College, Ahmednagar, arrested in the matter. The further WhatsApp scrutiny revealed that the Physics and Chemistry papers were leaked as well.

Reports have it that the Mathematics Question Paper of the Maharashtra HSC Exams 2023 was leaked an hour before the commencement of the exam, and circulated to 119 students on WhatsApp, on March 3, 2023. In its initial probe into the paper leak incident, the Mumbai Crime Branch arrested two minor students and traced the incident to the Matoshree Bhagubai Bhambare Agriculture and Science Jr College, Ahmednagar. The question papers were allegedly sold for Rs 10,000 among students.
"The owner of the college was also involved in the leak. We have found some chats and question papers of physics and chemistry on the WhatsApp of the accused, which indicates that these papers were also leaked," an officer from the Mumbai Crime Branch was reported as saying by Mid-Day. ““We took the statements of many students who received the question paper on their WhatsApp and made payments to some numbers, which we tracked,” an officer said,” the report further added.
Earlier on Wednesday, March 8, the Mumbai Crime Branch arrested five people from the same college in the matter, including the college Principal, two teachers, a member of the college administration, and a driver.
