JoSAA Counselling 2024 Seat Matrix Released On josaa.nic.in, 23 IITs to Offer 17,740 Seats

JoSAA Counselling 2024: JoSAA has released the seat matrix 2024, revealing a significant increase in the number of seats available at IITs.

JoSAA Counselling 2024: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority, JoSAA has started accepting online applications for the counselling process 2024 on June 10, 2024. JoSAA will carry out the seat allocation in five rounds. JoSAA has also released the seat matrix, revealing a significant increase in the number of seats available at IITs. This year, JoSAA counselling will be conducted for 17,740 seats. Interested students can check the seat matrix on the official website at josaa.nic.in. 

According to the official data, there has been an increase of 355 IIT seats. IIT Bhubaneswar has added 20 seats, IIT Bombay has added 12 seats, Kharagpur has 30 seats, Jodhpur has 50 seats, Gandhinagar has 30 seats, Patna has 84 seats, Guwahati has 10 seats, Bhilai has 40, Tirupati has 10 seats, and Dharwad has 75. Last year, the total number of seats at IITs was 17,385.

JoSAA Counselling 2024: List Of Documents Required

Students will require the following documents during the JoSAA counselling 2024:

• Class X Mark Sheet/Certificate
• Class XII Mark Sheet 
• Aadhar Card
• Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS)
• Original Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
• Crossed Bank Cheque copy / Image of Passbook with bank account details
• Medical Certificate
• OCI certificate /PIO card
• Passport / Citizenship certificate
