UPTET 2023 Notification, Application Process, Expected Soon On updeled.gov.in

Following the release of the UPTET 2023 Notification, the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board is likely to begin the UPTET 2023 applications soon.

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board will likely release the UPTET 2023 Official Notification soon, and begin the application submission process online. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to submit their UPTET 2023 Application forms on the official UPTET 2023 website - updeled.gov.in.

The Department of Basic Education, Uttar Pradesh, took to Twitter on Sunday, March 5, to announce the release of UPTET 2023 Notification soon. The board also notified that over 21 lakh students registered for the UPTET 2021. “The UPTET 2023 notification will be released soon. As per records, 21,65,179 candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 12,91,627 were for primary and 8,73,552 for higher primary,” the Department Of Basic Education said in its tweet. 

Notably, the UPTET is an annual exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education for the recruitment of teachers in Uttar Pradesh government schools. Consisting of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, the UPTET recruitment is done across two levels. The Paper 1 screens eligible candidates for recruitment of Primary Teachers for classes 1 to 5. The Paper 2 shortlists canddiates for the posts of Secondary Teachers for classes 6 to 8. 

The shortlisting of candidates for the recruitment is done of the performance of candidates in the written exam. The basis of selection is a pre-defined cut-off laid out by the board. The details of the selection criteria, examination scheme, syllabus, marking scheme, and detailed eligibility around the UPTET 2023 shall be avaiable to students, once the official notification is released. 

Earlier in June 2021, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended the validity of UPTET Eligibility certificate to a lifetime. Before this announcement, the UPTET eligibility certificates were only valid for a period of five years. 

After the release of the UPTET 2023 Notification and the commmencement of the UPTET 2023 Application Process, interested candidates would be able to download the notification on the official website which shall also host the online registration link. Before applying for UPTET 2023 though, candidates are advised to briefly go through the official notification.
