UPPSC Begins Meeting On Aspirants' Demand For One-Day Exam Format For PCS, RO-ARO Exams
The UPPSC committee has begun a meeting to address students' demand for single-day PCS and RO-ARO exams without normalisation.
The UPPSC's high-level committee has begun a meeting aimed at resolving the students' ongoing protest. The discussion is focused on conducting PCR, and RO ARO exams in a single shift without normalisation. Sources indicate that the meeting, chaired by Commission Chairman Sanjay Shrinet, may conclude within 40-45 minutes, with a decision on reversing normalisation likely to be finalized.
After the meeting concludes, officials are expected to formally announce the rollback decision to the protesting students and distribute official notifications of the decision. Students are hopeful for a favorable outcome. If the normalisation policy is indeed withdrawn, the protesting students are expected to end their demonstrations immediately.
Students have been actively opposing the normalisation process and demanding that competitive exams be conducted in a “One Day, One Shift” format. They are specifically protesting against the Uttar Pradesh PCS Pre 2024 and the Preliminary Exams for Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer 2023.
As the UP PCS Pre 2024 exam is scheduled for December 7 and 8, and the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer exams for December 22 and 23, students are eager to hear the commission's final decision. A large crowd of aspirants has gathered near Gate Number 2 of the commission's premises, waiting anxiously for the announcement.
