Attention candidates! Kolkata Police has started inviting applications for police driver recruitment 2023. Candidates interested in the Kolkata Police Driver Recruitment 2023 can apply for the recruitment. The last date to apply for the recruitment is October 9, 2023. The Kolkata Police aims to fill a total of 412 vacancies for the posts of Driver/ Police Driver through this recruitment. Interested candidates may note that they will be required to print the application form for the recruitment from the official website on A4 paper, and submit the duly filled application form personally in the drop box at the Police Training Institute, Kolkata. 

Candidates may further note that the shortlisting of candidates for the recruitment shall be done through driving test and interview, medical examinations, and verification of character and antecedents, as per the official recruitment notification. Moreover, the position shall be on contract basis wherein selected candidates will be engaged on a preliminary contract for a period of one year from the date of engagement. 

The office of the Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, notified the recruitment details through an official notice. “Applications are invited in the prescribed format from male candidates for the engagement of 412 posts of Drivers (Contractual)/ Police Driver (Contractual), purely on contractual basis under Kolkata Police through driving test and interview,” reads the official notice. 

Candidates who have passed their Class 8 from a recognized board and have a valid transport license are eligible to apply for the recruitment. Moreover, applicants for the Kolkata Police recruitment 2023 must be aged between 21 to 40 years of age, and must be a resident of West Bengal. Furthermore, candidates should further have a minimum of three years of driving experience in any government organization/ quasi government organization/ registered pvt.
