Gate 2019 registration: Last date to apply without late fees is today. Application forms are available at gate.iitm.ac.in.

Gate 2019 registration: Application deadline for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE 2019 is going to end today. The last date to apply for the GATE 2019 is September 21, 2018. The candidates should apply for the registration by paying the normal fee. The candidates who fail to register today will have to pay an extra amount to apply for GATE 2019. The GATE is a national level examination, which is conducted to offer admission into M.Tech/M.Sc in engineering/technology/architecture and P.hD in relevant branches of science. This year IIT-Madras will conduct the GATE 2019. The exams are scheduled to be conducted on February 2, 3, 9 and 10. The candidates can register and fill the application form only through online mode on the official website. GATE 2019: Eligibility

• Applicant must possess a graduate degree in BE, BTech, BPharmacy, BArch, BSc (Research), BS, MA, MSc, MCA, Int MSc or Int BSMS in 2018, OR • The candidate should have completed their Int ME, MTech (post BSc) or a dual degree after 10+2 by 2019-20

GATE 2019: Exam pattern

• The exam will be conducted on 24 subjects • The subject would include Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering among other subjects • The exam consists of two sections • Candidates will be allowed to appear in only one paper in any one session • The questions will be of both multiple choice type and fill in the blanks type • Exam duration: 3 hours • Exam questions: 65 questions for a total of 100 marks • It will be an online computer based test • After the time is over, the computer will automatically close the screen • The paper will contain questions on general aptitude (15 marks), engineering mathematics (10-13 marks) and core engineering area of the candidate All the best!
