Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal targetted PM Modi over his arrest. She termed it as a "betrayal to the people of Delhi".

New Delhi: Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, expressed her sentiments on social media over his arrest, denouncing what she perceives as a betrayal to the people of Delhi. She said, "This is a betrayal to the people of Delhi. Your Chief Minister has always stood with you. Whether inside or outside, his life is dedicated to the country. The public knows everything."

"Your thrice-elected Chief Minister has been arrested by Modi Ji in his arrogance of power. He is busy crushing everyone. This is a betrayal of the people of Delhi. Your Chief Minister always stands with you. Whether inside or outside, his life is dedicated to the country. The public is omniscient. Jai Hind 🙏," she posted on X.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who was produced in the Rouse Avenue Court in connection with the excise policy-linked money laundering case, said that his life is dedicated to the country, whether he is inside or outside jail.

AAP Delhi ministers Atishi Marlena Singh and Saurabh Bharadwaj were detained by the police at ITO in Delhi on Friday morning following large-scale protests staged by party workers and leaders. According to officials, significant traffic congestion occurred near ITO Chowk, Raj Ghat, and Vikas Marg on Friday due to road closures around the BJP headquarters and the ED office, prompted by the AAP's protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. As reported by news agency PTI, AAP leaders and supporters gathered at the ITO intersection, situated near both the AAP and BJP headquarters on DDU Marg, to stage their protest.

Delhi Police asked the protesting party leaders and workers to disperse as Section 144  was imposed in the area.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a case related to money laundering linked to the excise policy scam on Thursday night. The arrest came after the AAP leader skipped as many as nine summons from the agency in connection with the case.
