'Only To Crush AAP': Delhi CM Kejriwal After ED Raids His Personal Secretary, Others Linked To Party

AAP supremo also claimed that the houses of the party leaders such as Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Sanjay Singh were raided as well. But even there, the ED did not find anything

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids are only being conducted to crush Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He claimed that the raids, which lasted 16 hours, yielded no incriminating evidence.

AAP supremo also claimed that the houses of the party leaders such as Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Sanjay Singh were raided as well. But even there, the ED did not find anything

In an X post, the national convener of the party said, "Today my PA's house was raided by 23 ED officers for 16 hours. After a thorough investigation, they found nothing... They raided Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, and Sanjay Singh's house and found nothing... It is clear that all these raids and arrests are being done only to crush the Aam Aadmi Party".

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on premises linked to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders in Delhi, leading to a clash of accusations between AAP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Amid the ED raids, AAP leaders, including Delhi ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, held press conferences accusing the agency of intimidation. Atishi claimed that audio recordings in the excise policy case were deleted, and witnesses and accused were pressured to give statements. The ED refuted these claims, asserting that legal recourse would be taken.

In response, BJP leaders, including Union Minister Meenakashi Lekhi and Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, countered with corruption allegations against the Kejriwal government. Lekhi accused the AAP of focusing on "publicity, drama, and scams" and criticized the governance model of Delhi. Sachdeva welcomed the raids, alleging AAP leaders' involvement in corruption.

The ED raids stem from an ongoing probe into charges that bribes from irregularities in the Delhi Jal Board tendering process were routed as election funds to the AAP. AAP leaders accused the ED of using intimidation tactics, while the BJP asserted that the investigation would reveal facts and recover any misappropriated funds from the government exchequer.
