ISKCON Employee Flees With Lakhs Of Donation Money & Receipt Book In Mathura
The ISKCON employee was responsible for collecting donated money and depositing it with the temple authorities.
An International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) employee who was tasked with collecting donation money, has fled with lakhs of rupees along with a receipt book, in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura.
According to a PTI report, "An FIR was filed by the temple's Chief Finance Officer Vishwa Nam Das late on Friday night," Superintendent of Police (City) Arvind Kumar said. On December 27, Das had given an application to SSP Shailesh Kumar Pandey, informing him of the alleged theft. A primary investigation was conducted after which the FIR was lodged.
Temple Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ravi Lochan Das stated that Murlidhar Das was responsible for collecting donated money and depositing it with the temple authorities. After verification, the exact amount of money he deposited in the temple will be determined.
According to the FIR, Murlidhar Das, son of Nimai Chand Yadav, is a Sriram Colony, Rauganj Vasa resident in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. Police further said that along with the money he took a receipt book containing 32 sheets.
The PRO mentioned that previously, an individual named Saurav had fled with donation money and a receipt book, but he passed away before they could be retrieved.

The Delhi Police team from PS Kishangarh, South West District, arrested a 35-year-old thief, Vipin Kumar, at Karawal Nagar in the national capital. Officials reported that five mobile phones and an auto used in the crime were recovered from his possession.
According to Delhi Police, ahead of the New Year 2025 celebrations, staff from PS Kishangarh were deployed at various pickets in the area. A strong picket was stationed at Shaheed Jeet Singh Marg near the Katwariya Sarai police booth to monitor suspect vehicles and maintain law and order.
Around 8:00 PM during a picket check, an auto was stopped for inspection, but the driver attempted a U-turn to flee. The alert picket staff apprehended him, and a cursory search revealed five mobile phones in his jacket pocket.
