BJP MLC Yogesh Tilekar's Uncle Kidnapped During Morning Walk, Beaten To Death In Pune

Wagh was found murdered near Yavat on the Pune-Solapur Highway in the Pune district, around 40 kilometres from the spot where he was abducted. There were multiple injuries on his body.

Pune Crime: Maharashtra BJP MLC Yogesh Tilekar's 55-year-old uncle was allegedly abducted during a morning walk and murdered in the Pune district on Monday. Four to five unidentified men bundled the victim, Satish Wagh, into an SUV near Shewalwadi Chowk in the Hadapsar area.

Wagh was found murdered near Yavat on Pune-Solapur Highway in Pune district, around 40 kilometres from the spot where he was abducted, PTI quoted Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil as saying.

"There were multiple injuries on his body. Several teams have fanned out to nab the accused. A team is at the spot to conduct panchnama," Patil said. Some reports have claimed that Wagh was beaten to death with a wooden stick, which was found near his body. The police said that the exact cause of death will be known after the autopsy. 

According to police, the body was spotted by some people who came for a walk in the evening. Immediately after that, they informed the Yavat police, who took the body from Shindavane Ghat to Sassoon Hospital.

The entire kidnapping was captured on CCTV camera. A case has also been registered against the unknown accused in this case at Hadapsar police station. The police are now searching for the accused with the help of CCTV in the area.
