A video has surfaced on social media showing women and children taking away flower pots placed outside the Circuit House for the CM’s welcome in the Buxar district of Bihar. The incident followed after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated several key projects in Buxar on Saturday as part of his "Pragati Yatra."
These pots, arranged by the district administration, were looted within seconds after the CM left the venue. Before government employees could react, locals had already taken away hundreds of pots. Sources revealed that these pots were rented from a local nursery through the municipal council.

Women from slum areas staged a protest over the CM's visit lashing out at Nitish Kumar for demanding votes instead of development promises. They declared their intention not to vote in the upcoming elections. To control the situation, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) intervened and redirected the protesters. Some locals also alleged that the development work in the area was merely superficial, carried out only for the CM’s visit.
BJP leader Amar Jaiswal criticised the administration for adopting a "dictatorial attitude." He also claimed that PM Narendra Modi's leadership had helped Nitish Kumar reach his position, saying, "CM Nitish Kumar has already tasted the waters of seven ghats, but it was PM Modi's blessings that helped him rise."
Rs 202 Crore Water Supply Project Inaugurated
CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Rs 202 crore multi-village water supply project, which aims to provide clean Ganga water to 36,760 households across 51 villages and 20 panchayats in Buxar. This project is particularly crucial for the Diara region, which has been severely affected by arsenic contamination, making it a "cancer-prone" zone.
In addition, the CM inaugurated a model Panchayat Bhavan in Simri, laid the foundation stone for the Vishwamitra Hotel under the tourism department in Buxar’s Golambar area, and launched a Rs 13 crore project at the Ramrekha Ghat. He also inaugurated a 12-room guest house and reviewed developmental projects with officials at the district headquarters.
Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, Ministers Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Neeraj Kumar, and Nitin Naveen were also present at the event.
