Bhopal Roads Under Water

The rains in Bhopal provided some respite from the heat. Heavy rain commenced at 3 PM, following a humid and cloudy morning. The continuous downpour left the city waterlogged with most roads submerged.

The monsoon is currently passing through the Guna and Narsinghpur districts, while a cyclonic circulation system has developed over southern Gujarat and Saurashtra. These systems are collectively causing the continuous rainfall across various districts of Madhya Pradesh.

According to the met department, heavy rains are expected in North Neemuch, Sehore, Raisen, Bhimbetka, Ashoknagar, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Datia, Ratangarh, Niwari, Orchha, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, and Panna. These areas are also at risk of lightning strikes.
