Loan Fraud: Sunny Leone Falls Prey To Identity Theft, Urges Fintech Firm To Help Victims Like Her
Sunny Leone on Twitter alleged that her PAN card has been used to procure a loan of Rs 2,000 that impacted her credit score.
New Delhi: Actor Sunny Leone has fallen prey to identity theft. According to a tweet, now deleted, she alleged that her PAN card was used to procure a loan of Rs 2,000 which affected her credit score.
However, after raising the issue on social media the actor said the issue was promptly resolved after she reached out to the concerned authorities.
In a now-deleted tweet, Leone had mentioned: “Some idiot used my Pan to take a 2000 Rs loan,” adding that India Bulls Securities did “nothing” to help her.

She tagged Indiabulls Securities Limited (Dhani Stocks was Indiabulls Securities previously), and Indiabulls Home Loans in her tweet. The actor tweeted later on the issue being resolved promptly with a thank you message for the company.

In another tweet, the actor urged the company to help a user who had tweeted about a similar fraud.

Sunny Leone is not the lone victim of this fraud. In a series of complainants, people have claimed show-cause notices by collection agents for loans they never took.
It has also impacted their credit scores as it listed loans they had never availed as defaults. Many of these complaints go back to November last year, tweets and screenshots show.
