When we open a bank account, we are given a debit card that can be used at various ATMs. Most bank accounts are accompanied by different types of debit cards. The limit for each debit card type for cash withdrawal is different.

For example with the debit card of SBI, the country's largest state-owned bank, you can withdraw Rs 20,000 per day. The cash limit of all banks and debit or ATM cards given varies. Today we'll show you how much money you can withdraw every day from the ATM card you have.

State Bank of India

India's largest state-owned bank SBI has an ATM daily maximum cash limit of Rs 20,000, while its minimum limit is Rs 100.

ICICI Bank

According to ICICI Bank's website, you can withdraw up to Rs 1 lakh a day through a platinum chip debit card. Also, according to the bank's website, you can withdraw up to Rs 1.5 lakh a day through a visa signature debit card. This information is being provided as per ICICI Bank's website.

Punjab National Bank

Punjab National Bank allows its customers to withdraw a maximum of Rs 50,000 a day through its platinum and RuPay debit cards. According to the bank's website, customers can withdraw a maximum of Rs 25,000 a day through its classic RuPay card and master debit card.

HDFC Bank

You can withdraw Rs 1 lakh daily from its ATM through the platinum chip debit card of HDFC Bank, a second-largest bank in private banks. This information has also been provided through the bank's official website hdfcbank.com.

How much does it take to withdraw from ATMs?

The Reserve Bank of India has allowed all banks to charge customers on ATM transactions more than the free monthly limit. The customer can make free transactions from his own bank from ATM five times a month. The customer can make free transactions three times from other bank ATMs in metropolitan cities. In smaller cities, free transactions can be done five times from ATMs of other banks. If transactions exceed five times, the customer will have to pay a fee of Rs. 20 for each withdrawal.

RBI has also increased the fee on cash withdrawals from Rs 20 to Rs 21. But it hasn't been implemented yet. It will begin on January 1, 2022.
