EPFO May Credit 8.5% Interest For 2019-20, Here's How To Check Balance

Earlier in September, the Employees Provident Fund Organisation had decided to split 8.5 percent interest into two installments of 8.15 percent and 0.35 percent in its trustees meet headed by Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar. However in March, the EPFO's apex decision making body Central Board of Trustees headed by Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar had already approved 8.5 percent interest rate on EPF for 2019-20.
In order to confirm the interest received you can check the EPF balance and the status of the interest via a missed call.
Know the step-by-step procedure
1) You need to dial 011-22901406 from the phone registered with Universal Account number (UAN) account.
2) However, the call will get disconnected after two rings automatically, but no money will be charged to this service.
3) Remember, the subscriber with the phone user should have completed KYC with the EPFO.
Know EPF balance via SMS:
You need to type EPFOHO and send it to 7738299899.
For receiving the message in Hindi, the subscriber have to type 'EPFOHO UAN' and send it to 7738299899.
