Bengaluru Techie Shares One Of The Biggest Perks Of Working At Google; Here What He Said

However, several X users pointed out that a lot of firms provide cab facilities, “Hundreds of companies in Bengaluru provide this facility to their employees," wrote one of the internet users

Working at big tech comes with its own set of advantages; hence, every other person aspires to join one at least at the start of their career. Recently, a Google employee from Bengaluru shared what he feels is the biggest advantage of working at one of the world’s biggest technology companies. “Google provides cab service between office and home. It is one of the biggest perks in Bangalore,” the employee wrote in one of his on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

“I live 12km away from office and I  never have to wait for an uber/ola/rapido. It helps me save a lot of money too. PS: wrote this while going to office in GCab,” he added.

However, several X users pointed out that a lot of firms provide cab facilities, “Hundreds of companies in Bengaluru provide this facility to their employees. Accenture, Amazon, TCS, IBM, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, Wipro, Oracle, Adobe, HCL, Cisco, Dell, HP, KPMG, Microsoft, Intel, JP Morgan, just to name a few,” wrote on of the internet users.

After that, the Google employee wrote in a follow-up tweet, “Of course, other companies do that too. Since the companies that I have worked at previously didn’t provide this, it is new for me. This tweet in no way means that other companies don’t provide a similar service.”

Several internet users commented below the post; one X user wrote, “The company where I work also provides cab service to employees. They charge 1400 per month for the people having more than 30k salary and for people getting salary less than 30k it's free. I think 1400 is extremely less considering that my office is beside International airport.”

“Travelling in a cab during traffic hours while you watch 2 wheelers overtaking you can be the worst of all tortures. I experienced it once and post that there was no looking back. Grab an activa & I’m good to go,” added another X user.
