Bank Holidays In January 2024: Branches To Remain Closed For 16 Days, Check State-Wise Holiday List

Bank Holidays in January 2024: During the month of January, banks are scheduled to remain closed for a total of 16 days due to both national and regional holidays. 

Customers who have scheduled their bank errands or might need banking services in the month should plan their work accordingly. These holidays include festivals, national holidays, second and fourth Saturdays, and all Sundays. 

The holidays vary for each region and are meant for region-specific festivals, in addition to general weekend holidays, which are common for all banks across the country.

Any hindrance in these services would be informed beforehand, however, customers would not have access to the physical bank branches on the bank holidays, depending on the region.

In India, bank holidays are listed under the State Government, Central Government, and Union Territories Act of 1881. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), published the annual bank holiday calendar for the whole year.
