Ayurveda Giant Expands Beyond FMCG Into Education, Healthcare, & Organic Farming

A major reason for the company’s success is its strong distribution network and environmental consciousness.

Famous for its Ayurvedic and herbal products, Patanjali stated that it has moved beyond FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), entering areas like education, healthcare, financial services, and organic farming. This diversification, it says, has helped create a legacy that touches every aspect of Indian life. With the vision of a self-reliant and indigenous India, the company claims to have won the trust of millions.

The company said, "The company began with affordable, chemical-free products like ghee, honey, soaps, and shampoos. These products connected consumers with the power of Ayurveda and promoted Indian culture. But the company didn’t stop there. It ventured into financial services, such as acquiring a stake in Magma General Insurance. Additionally, it established schools and universities in the education sector that offer a blend of Indian values and modern knowledge."

‘Remarkable Contribution’ In Healthcare

Patanjali claims, "The company’s contribution to healthcare is remarkable. Its 34 wellness centres promote yoga, Ayurveda, and naturopathy. These centres provide healthcare services even in rural areas where access to modern medicine is limited. In addition, the company is promoting organic farming. Through the Patanjali Bio Research Institute (PBRI), farmers are provided training and resources for organic farming, which has increased their income and improved soil fertility."

Eyeing The Top Spot In FMCG

Patanjali also stated, "A major reason for the company’s success is its strong distribution network and environmental consciousness. The company aims to become India’s leading FMCG company within the next five years, competing with giants like Hindustan Unilever. It has not only innovated in business but also fulfilled social responsibilities. By empowering small industries and farmers, it is helping realize the dream of a self-reliant India."
