Opinion: India Should Not Let SCO Walk The SAARC Road

The upcoming summit of the SCO, founded by China and Russia, will be chaired by Islamabad on October 15 and 16.

The China-led Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is gradually losing relevance for India, with New Delhi set to attend the summit in a sort of apathetic way for the third time in a row. India is increasingly finding it difficult to balance its position as well as make a meaningful contribution in these regional and multilateral groupings as it walks the tightrope between the West and its neighbours, especially China and arch-enemy Pakistan.  The SCO, founded in 2001 by China and
