Hyundai i20 N Line unveiled In India. The bookings are now open for Rs 25,000 while the i20 N Line would be retailed via Signature special dealerships.

New Delhi: Hyundai has introduced the i20 N Line in India and also launched the brand N Line. The N Line is a performance brand which is present in other countries and now India also gets it. Hence, expect more performance focused cars from Hyundai via the N Line in the future.

N Line stands for Namyang R and D centre plus also the Nürburgring race track, where the sub-brand is having its own technical centre. Back to the first car and the i20 N Line is basically a more performance focused i20. The exterior gets a new grille with a N Line logo along with a two-tone bumper plus red inserts.

Of course it gets new 16-inch alloys with the N logo too while the N Line also gets red front brake calipers. The rear gets a darker chrome treatment plus a diffuser with twin exhausts and a rear spoiler too. There would be four monotone paint options with the car and two dual-tone ones.

The interior gets an all black look but gets a new seat upholstery with a N logo, red accents and ambient lighting, a new three spoke steering and a new leather gear knob. The DCT automatic version gets paddle shifters too.

Feature list is taken from the i20 standard as well while a sunroof is now standard with the N Line i20 plus connected tech, digital instrument cluster, 16 OTA map updates etc. The main highlight is the performance bit. The engine is unchanged with a 120bhp 1.0 turbo petrol while the gearbox is also an iMT clutchless manual or a DCT automatic.

What has changed is a sportier exhaust note and a suspension which has been upgraded for a sportier driving experience. There are all round disc brakes too so braking is improved.

The bookings are now open for Rs 25,000 while the i20 N Line would be retailed via Signature special dealerships.

The NLine brand would be expanding in the coming years with the promise of more models. This car then is aimed at performance loving enthusiasts and also for the younger age group. We will tell you more about this car in our review soon.

Stay tuned.
