Mahindra BE.05 EV Spied. Check Out The Road Presence

The BE brand of SUVs would be all electric and would be based on the INGLO platform while having a sharper look

We recently spied the BE.05 electric SUV up close and this was a closer to production test car as its launch is planned for next year. We already had a sneak peek at a nearer to production version at the South Africa showcase of the Thar.e. The BE brand of SUVs would be all electric and would be based on the INGLO platform while having a sharper look.

The BE.05 is a coupe like SUV and in terms of length is around 4,370mm while the wheelbase would be around 2775mm. The coupe-like styling and much of the striking details have been carried over to the production version with only some being toned down. The BE.05 production version will of course have proper mirrors along with the huge C-shaped DRLs.

There is also a split roof mounted spoiler and the large LED light bar which also have been carried over. Looking at this test car, it's fairly tall and has excellent ground clearance too. The production spec model will come with both single and dual motor versions with the VW sourced electric motors.

The battery pack is expected to be 79kWh while the range would be around 450-500km. Overall, the BE.05 looks quite appealing and in the flesh, the proportions are sporty with the coupe like design theme. Mahindra has also collaborated with AR Rahman and he and his team will develop all of the sounds for drive modes and the dashboard along with others.

The launch for these Born electric SUVs would be next year with Mahindra bringing this BE.05 EV above the XUV400 with being a competitor to the likes of the upcoming Tata Curvv with the pricing being around Rs 20 lakh (expected). Hence, expect a launch by the festive season of next year.
