Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z First Look Review: Priced Less Than The Dominar

Bajaj has finally pulled the covers off its NS400Z and it is priced at Rs 1.8 lakh starting and this is an introductory price. It is the most powerful motorcycle of the Pulsar line-up but it is also the most affordable bike with this much power.
Speaking of which, the Pulsar NS400Z has a 373cc liquid-cooled engine with a 6-speed gearbox, delivering 40 PS power and 35 Nm torque. Other highlights include ride-by-wire tech, Ride modes and a slipper clutch plus 43mm USD fork. In terms of the ride modes, there are Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-road.
Design-wise, it has an edge but a clear aggressive look which is typical of the Pulsar DNA. There are new LED projector headlights with DRLs plus LED tail lights while the Champagne Gold USD forks and carbon fibre graphics. complete the looks.

There are four colours on offer- Glossy Racing Red, Brooklyn Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Pewter Grey
Other features include a fully digital colour LCD speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, lap timer, and traction control. The tyre sizes are (110/70-17 front, 140/70 R17 rear) while it has a top speed of 154kph.
Similarities with the Dominar 400 are there of course, including the same power figures and the 6-speed gearbox but there is a difference with the Pulsar getting an underbelly exhaust muffler.
The bike overall is one of the most affordable performance motorcycles and also undercuts the Dominar as well while also in terms of the weight, the Pulsar is lighter.
