IMD Predicts Moderate To Heavy Rains In Andhra Pradesh, Telangana For Next Three Days

The Regional Meteorological Center (Amaravati) said rains would occur at many places in South Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema on Friday.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the impact of the ongoing low pressure in the Bay of Bengal will be more on Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. Hyderabad and Amaravati Meteorological Centers said that moderate to heavy rains would occur in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the next three days due to this effect. 

Adjacent to Coastal Andhra, two different subsurface cycles continue in the West-Central Bay of Bengal and the North-Eastern Bay of Bengal. Officials of the meteorological centre said that the second circulation would merge with the circulation over West Central Bay of Bengal on Thursday. Due to this, Heavy rains will lash Telugu states for the next three days.

The Regional Meteorological Center (Hyderabad) has said that thunderstorms accompanied by lighting and light to moderate rains are very likely to occur in Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Mehboobnagar, Jogulamba, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Vikarabad, Nalgonda, Yadardi districts of Telangana on Thursday.

Amaravati Meteorological Center has announced that north Andhra Pradesh districts Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam city, Allurisitamaraju, Parvathipuram Manyam and Anakapalli districts will receive moderate rains on Thursday. Winds are blowing in Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from the northwest direction in the lower tropo atmosphere. Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, and Eluru districts have a chance of scattered rains.

The Regional Meteorological Center (Amaravati) said rains would occur at many places in South Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema on Friday. Light showers will occur in many parts of Rayalaseema. The Meteorological Center said moderate rains are likely on Thursday at some places in Kurnool, Nandyala, Kadapa, Chittoor, Anantapur and Sri Sathyasai districts.
