BJP Committed To Develop Amaravati As Andhra Pradesh Capital: Union Minister Kishan Reddy

The Union Minister recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had clarified that Amaravati is the only capital of Andhra Pradesh.

Union Minister for Tourism G Kishan Reddy said that the BJP had made it clear that the party will work towards the development of Amaravati as the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, and he did not have a different opinion.

The Union Minister recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had clarified that Amaravati is the only capital of Andhra Pradesh. He said that Andhra Pradesh would not have three capitals but only one capital Amaravati. There is no question of changing the capital under any circumstances, Kishan Reddy told mediapersons at Vijayawada airport.

On a one-day visit to Guntur and Eluru on the occasion of the release PM Kisan 12th tranche funds on Monday, Kishan Reddy arrived in Guntur to participate in a program organised with farmers. BJP State president Somu Veerraju and other leaders welcomed Minister G Kishan Reddy.

He asserted that amid the massive protests against farmers' farm legislation organised in New Delhi for over a year, the Modi government looked after them. After seeing the issues the aforementioned regulations were likely to pose for farmers, PM Modi ultimately repealed them, Kishan Reddy noted.

Kishan Reddy responded to the political commotion caused by Jana Sena Party (JSP) President Pawan Kalyan's visit to Visakhapatnam and the arrest of several JSP activists there for allegedly attacking some Ministers. He said that parties should be allowed to organise their programmes freely and that no retaliatory action should be taken.
