Andhra Pradesh: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Receives Record Single-Day Hundi Collection Of Over Rs 6 Crore

In May TTD reported the highest revenue of Rs.129.93 crores in its history.

Hyderabad: For the first time in the history of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the hundi collection has been recorded a all-time high. On Monday, the income of TTD's hundi was a whopping Rs 6.18 crores in a single day. Hundi's income crossed the Rs 6 crore mark for the first time. The highest revenue recorded earlier was Rs 5.73 crores on April 1, 2012.

Devotees who have been waiting for two years because of COVID-19 restrictions are queuing up at Lord Venkateswara temple to pay their prayers. As it was summer vacation, the number of devotees increased immensely.

According to TTD statistics, the temple's hundi income exceeds Rs 100 crores every month. The income of Tirumala Srivari Hundi has been over Rs 100 crore every month for the last four months. TTD received the highest hundi income of Rs 129.93 crores in May 2022 alone.

TTD announced that in March this year, the income of TTD's Hundi was Rs 128 crores, while in April, it was Rs 127.5 crores. In May, however, TTD reported the highest revenue of Rs 129.93 crores in its history. It seems that a record amount of income has been received in the month of June as well. From 1 June to 26, Rs 106 crores have been collected, according to TTD statistics.

Due to the summer break, there has been a significant rush at Tirumala as nearly 78,000 devotees visited the temple on Monday. Also due to the heavy rush, the devotees are put in the queue complex for more than 12 hours.
