Andhra Pradesh: TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu Promises Several Freebies Ahead Of 2024 Elections

The former chief minister unveiled the party's poll manifesto titled 'Bhavishathku guarantee' (guarantee for the future).

Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh (AP) - Nearly a year ahead of the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, N. Chandrababu Naidu, the national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), unveiled an array of enticing offerings in the party's annual convention, TDP Mahanadu.

During a public meeting at the closing ceremony, Naidu presented the party's election manifesto titled 'Bhavishathku guarantee' (guarantee for the future), outlining several promises and initiatives.

One of the key proposals is the 'Maha Shakthi' program, which aims to provide monthly financial aid of Rs 1,500 to women aged 18 to 59.

Another significant pledge is the 'Talliki Vandanam' scheme, which promises an annual sum of Rs 15,000 for every mother, without any prerequisites.

Under the 'Deepam' scheme, each household would receive three free gas cylinders per year, while the TDP also vowed to offer free travel for women on buses operated by the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC).

To address unemployment, the TDP's 'Yuva Galam' (youth's voice) initiative aims to create 20 lakh jobs over five years, connecting the youth to the global economy. Unemployed youth will receive a monthly allowance of Rs. 3,000.

Naidu also pledged to provide free doorstep delivery of drinking water to every household within a stipulated timeframe. Additionally, he assured the enactment of a separate law to safeguard backward classes (BCs) from atrocities and attacks. The TDP has already established 54 Special Empowered Committees, which will be consulted before the passage of the legislation.

Furthermore, Naidu expressed his commitment to doubling the income of the poor.
