Andhra Pradesh: 'Morphed', Says YSRCP MP As Video Showing Him Perform 'Obscene Act' Goes Viral

The YSR Congress Party MP also alleged that the videos were a part of a conspiracy to defame him. He also added that he has lodged a police complaint against it.

New Delhi: YSRCP MP Gorantla Madhav has found himself in the middle of a controversy after a purported video, showing him performing an 'obscene act' on a video call with a woman, has gone viral on the social media. The alleged video has landed the party in trouble as the principal opposition party TDP in Andhra Pradesh has sought the resignation of MP Madhav and demanded legal action against him.   

A hashtag with ‘YcpMpDirtyPicture’ has been trending on the social media with users condemning the ruling party MP.

The women leaders of opposition TDP have also taken to the streets as a mark of protest against the purported video.

However, the Hindupur MP, who is a former police-turned-politician, has denied the authenticity of the video and claimed that it was morphed.

The YSR Congress Party MP also alleged that the videos were a part of a conspiracy to defame him. He also added that he has lodged a police complaint against it.

Meanwhile, as per reports, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly taken serious note of the incident and the government has ordered a probe, YSRCP General Secretary and government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said, adding that the MP will face action if the video is found to be true.
