Andhra Man Held For Recording & Uploading His Wife's Suicide On Social Media

According to police officials, the accused had been suspecting the victim’s character and had been constantly harassing her

Chennai: Andhra Pradesh Police arrested a man after he encouraged his wife to commit suicide by hanging and recorded the entire act in his mobile phone. The horrific incident took place near Atmakur town of Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

The accused was identified as M Penchalaiah, a resident of Nellore, who was working as a security guard at one of the ATMs of a private bank. The deceased was identified as his wife, Kondamma, who was working as a resource person in the Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA). The couple was married for 12 years and had two children.

According to police officials, the accused had been suspecting the victim’s character and had been constantly harassing her. On Wednesday, Penchalaiah had fought with his wife suspecting her character. Kondamma couldn't tolerate the harassment and had threatened to commit suicide.
