6 Dead, Over 20 Seriously Hurt As Bus Collides With Truck In Andhra's YSR District

One woman was killed and 22 people were injured after a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus fell into a gorge in Nashik on July 12. The injured were rushed to a state-run hospital, an official told PTI. The incident took place around 5:45 am near a Ganesh temple at Vani on the Saptashrungi Garh ghat section in Kalwan taluka. At first the injured were rushed to a rural hospital in Vani. Later, most of them were shifted to the District Civil Hospital in Nashik.
According to the PTI report, the MSRTC bus had travelled to Saptashrungi Garh from Khamgaon in the Buldhana district on Tuesday night. On its way back, on Wednesday morning, it broke the protection railing on the side of the road and fell into a 150-ft-deep gorge.
In another incident, a person has been killed and as many as 30 school children have been injured as a school bus carrying children onboard overturned in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district on July 12, 2023. The accident took place near Pokhran town when the bus was ferrying children back to their homes after school, news agency PTI reported the local police as saying.
"The driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned," Kailash Chand, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Sankra police station (Jaisalmer) was quoted as saying by PTI. After the incident most of the injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital, he added. He was further reported saying that parents of some injured children were taken to private hospitals by their parents. The bus driver is also injured in the accident and the injured children are from the 10-15 year age group.
