550 flights cancelled in New Jersey due to nor'easter

New Jersey [USA], Mar 07 (ANI): Nearly 550 flights at New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) have been cancelled ahead of the fierce nor'easter storm that threatens the East coast of the United States.

"Nearly 550 flights scheduled for today are canceled due to the nor'easter. Please confirm flight status before arriving at #EWR. Leave extra travel time. [75]," a tweet from the Newark Liberty International Airport read.

A day ago, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency ahead of the winter storm that is expected to dump over a foot of snow in parts of the region.

This is the second nor'easter headed for the East coast since last week, which wreaked havoc on the citizens and claimed seven lives across Virginia, New York, Rhode Island, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. (ANI)
