The portals of Badrinath Temple opened today at around 4 in the morning. The gates were closed on November 20, 2018.
About 11 lakh pilgrims had visite the temple last year. Out of these, 1 lakh had turned up in the first week itself. This year, it is estimated that2 lakh pilgrims may come in the first month itself.
The area received heavy snowfall this year. Due to this, the temple premises, the foot bridge were cut-off for more than 2 months.
