UP-Bihar Bypoll Results: "BSP & SP alliance can bring hurdles in 2019 LS elections"


Samajwadi Party candidates were surging ahead of their nearest BJP rivals in Gorakhpur and Phulpur constituencies in Uttar Pradesh after several rounds of counting for the parliamentary by-elections.

The two Lok Sabha seats of UP are crucial for the ruling BJP as they were formerly held by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (Gorakhpur) and his deputy Keshav Prasad Maurya (Phulpur). BJP was also trailing in Bihar's Araria Lok Sabha constituency where Sarfaraz Alam of the RJD has extended his lead of Pradip Singh.
