Union Health Ministry briefs the media over Coronavirus

In India, the patient of COVID-19 is doubling in 4.1 days which would have been 7.4 days had Tablighi Jamaat event not taken place, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday.

PPEs are imported so there was a shortage initially in the country but govt started taking action in this regard from January. Domestic manufacturers have started the production, we have also started procuring PPEs from the countries where it is available: Lav Aggarwal, Joint Secretary, Health Ministry.
