Testing an important weapon to contain infection: PMO

It was discussed that 128 districts in the country have vaccinated over 50% of 45+ population & 16 districts have vaccinated over 90% of 45+ population. PM expressed satisfaction at rising speed of vaccinations this week & stressed that it's important to carry this momentum forward, PMO said.

Officers briefed the PM that they are in touch with state governments to explore and implement innovative methods to reach people for vaccination. PM spoke about the need to involve NGOs and other organisations in such efforts, PMO added.
