Why India is refusing permanent refuge to Afghans? | Raj Ki Baat
After the Taliban took over Afghanistan, along with nationals of other countries, Afghan locals also left their homeland. The US, Indians and others conducted rescue operations and bring back as many as possible people from Kabul. Now, as India has already been accommodating refugees from Myanmar, it's not possible for them to give permanent refuge to Afghans. They have also protested asking about the refugee status but, the Indian government has so far not taken any step.
