Violence During Ganesh Chaturthi Procession In Madhya Pradesh | ABP News

In Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, an incident of stone-pelting occurred on Saturday night during a Ganesh Chaturthi procession. The disturbance began when a dispute erupted between two groups, leading to a young man throwing stones at participants in the procession. Following this, a large crowd gathered at the Dobatty police station, resulting in intense slogan-shouting and demands for action against the perpetrator from Hindu organizations present at the station. The police responded by deploying tear gas shells to control the agitated crowd. In the Mochipura area, where the Ganesh Chaturthi procession was taking place, the conflict escalated as Hindu activists arrived at the police station, continuing to chant "Jai Shri Ram" while demanding action against those responsible. The situation led to further unrest as protesters vandalized several motorcycles, which were seen toppled and damaged on the streets. The police continued their efforts to manage the situation with tear gas at key locations like Dobatty Square and Chhatri Pur.
