Health Ministry on lockdown extension: Will decide at right time

During the daily briefing over the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Joint Health Secretary Luv Aggarwal said that the decision about extension of lockdown will be taken by concerned officers and concerned ministry at an appropriate time.

India has been under a national lockdown of 21 days to contain the pandemic. The lockdown is scheduled to end on 14 April. However, some states have requested that the duration of lockdown be extended.
