Dibrugarh Express Updates: Restoration Work Underway | ABP News

On Thursday, at least 10 coaches of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed near Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, resulting in three confirmed deaths and multiple injuries. The derailment occurred around 2:35 pm in the Gonda-Mankapur section. Initial reports indicate that 10-12 coaches were affected. This incident follows the Kanchanjunga Express collision on June 17, where at least 10 people died and dozens were injured when the train collided with a goods train near New Jalpaiguri. The Dibrugarh Express was traveling from Agartala in Tripura to Sealdah in Kolkata. Among the deceased were the loco pilot of the goods train and two other railway staff members. After the accident, repair work is in progress, as the derailment has affected several train schedules.
