He declared that priests working in Delhi's temples and Granthis working in Gurudwaras will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹18,000. Kejriwal stated that registration for this scheme would begin on Tuesday, December 31. He added, "I will personally kick off the registration process at the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place on Tuesday. After that, our candidates will carry out the registration process in their respective constituencies." This initiative is part of AAP’s commitment to honoring the spiritual contributions of temple priests and Gurudwara Granthis, and to preserving the cultural heritage of the city. Kejriwal emphasized that this honorarium would be provided to temple priests and Granthis upon the party’s victory in the upcoming elections in Delhi. The scheme is aimed at recognizing their role in society and supporting their efforts to maintain and promote cultural and spiritual practices. The AAP leader expressed that this move was an acknowledgment of the invaluable services provided by these religious figures in strengthening the spiritual fabric and cultural values of the community.
