Breaking News: Tragedy Strikes Ahead of Baba Bageshwar’s Birthday, One Dead, Several Injured After Shed Collapse at Dham

A tragic incident occurred at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, just a day before Baba Bageshwar's grand birthday celebrations. A tin shed erected for devotees’ shelter collapsed early in the morning amid heavy rain and strong winds, leaving one person dead and at least 10 to 12 others injured. The deceased, Shyam Kaushal, had traveled from Uttar Pradesh with his family to attend the event. The injured, including six to eight in serious condition, are being treated at the district hospital in Chhatarpur. Eyewitnesses reported that more than 20 devotees were gathered under the shed to escape the rain when the collapse happened around 7:30 AM. Despite the scale of the incident, no official statement has yet been released by Baba Bageshwar or his team. However, workers from Bageshwar Dham are reportedly coordinating with both victims’ families and the local administration. BJP spokesperson Ajay Yadav stated that the event was organized privately by the Dham trust, not the government, although medical aid is being provided by the state. With thousands of devotees already at the site and more expected for the July 4th celebration, the tragedy has cast a shadow over the upcoming festivities, which may now be held in a subdued manner.
