Centre expresses inability to pay Rs 4 lakh to families of Covid victims

The Center has expressed its inability to give compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the families of all those who died of Corona. In the affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, the Center has told that such payment is made from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) available with the states. If the states are instructed to pay Rs 4 lakh, then their entire fund will be exhausted.
