Desh Nayak Diwas is being celebrated today by TMC. Mamta Banerjee said that Netaji was a true hero and believed in the unity of all people. She tweeted, "We are celebrating this day as Desh Nayak Diwas Day. He believed in the integrity of the people". The CM said that on the birth anniversary of Netaji, the central government should declare a national holiday on 23 January.
