Nasa’s Juno spacecraft captures picture of Jupiter’s clouds | Top News
It was captured as the spacecraft performed its 16th close flyby of the gas giant – flying about 4,400 miles from the top of the planet’s cloudy surface. The multitude of swirling clouds in Jupiter’s dynamic North North Temperate Belt look like they’ve been painted on. Darker cloud material is deeper in Jupiter’s atmosphere, while bright cloud material is high.Citizen scientists Gerald Eichstädt and Seán Doran created this image using data from the spacecraft’s JunoCam imager.
