Diesel, Petrol Prices: List off states where additional relief given on fuel
In a major relief to the common man, the government on Thursday announced a Rs 2.50 per litre cut in petrol and diesel prices by reducing excise duty by Rs. 1.50 and asking oil firms to absorb another Re 1. The decision announced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was followed by several BJP-ruled states giving an overall relief of Rs 5 per litre.
The finance minister said the excise duty cut would have an impact of Rs 10,500 crore on central government's tax revenues.
