Audio Bulletin: SC grants mediation panel time till Aug 15 to find solution
The Supreme Court on Friday gave more time to its three-member mediation committee, and asked it to complete the process of mediation on the Ayodhya Land dispute case by August 15. This came after the committee handed over its report to the court in a sealed envelope. "If the mediators are optimistic about the result and are seeking time till August 15, what is the harm in granting time? This issue has been pending for years and years. Why should we not grant time," the bench also comprising Justices S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer told the counsel appearing for the parties.
