The Supreme Court will be hearing a petition filed for the country's name to be changed to "Bharat" June 3. Right now in the constitution, the official name of the country is written as "India that is Bharat". The petitioner has said that the name "India" is a reminder and a leftover of the Colonial rule and that the name "Bharat" or "Hindustan" shall instill a feeling of Nationalism in the citizens.
